Whiskering Effect on Denim:

Whiskering is one of the most important designs of a used look garment. The idea of whiskers is taken from the worn-out lines and impression patterns generated by natural wearing on hips and front thigh area. Nowadays it is a common drying process for denim wash. Forgiving the whiskering effect on denim we can follow the below flowchart.

Process Flow Chart of Whiskering on Denim Fabric:

Receive on Raw Denim

Whiskering

Brushing

Tagging

Desizing

Neutralization

Enzyme (Bio-polish)

Destroy &Grinding

P.P. Spray

P.P. Neutralization

If deep shade present then treatment soda, RM (Detergent)

For color matching with actual swatch slightly color add if required

Fixing with NEO-FIX at 1gm/L & 700c×15min

Softening

Hydro then Drying 3D or Wrinkle with resin

Drying

Finally denim out

Inspection

The different processes can be used to make a whiskering pattern. One process is described below :

  1. At first, the design has to select then a white poly is placed on the garment.
  2. Marking the design with a marker with a seam line.
  3. Taking a rubber board and replace the marked poly on the rubber board
  4. Engraving the marked rubber board area of whiskering by cutter or blade
  5. A Whiskering pattern will make.
  6. The pattern then inserted into the denim.
  7. Scrape over the engraved area and the whiskered design is created.

Today Bangladesh ranked as the second-largest denim exporter after China. Bangladesh is exporting denim products approximately 200 million pieces every year. Bangladesh has around 35 denim fabrics manufacturing mills, which produce over 435 million yards of fabrics every year. Once, Bangladesh was totally dependent on imported denim fabrics. But now Bangladesh produces about 50% demand of the country and also exports to globally renowned brands.
