Properties of Denim Fabric:

Denim fabrics have some special follow some properties. These are mentioned in the following:

  1. Denim fabrics crease easily.
  2. It is very strong and durable.
  3. It’s feeling hard during wearing.
  4. It’s used for a long time lasting wearing.
  5. It resists tearing and snagging.

Today Bangladesh is the 2nd largest denim manufacturer after China. But the problem is sustainability. Cause Bangladeshi’s denim industry doesn’t focus on fashionable and sustainable product development. But different types of denim’s are produced in Bangladesh.

Types of Denim Fabric:

There’re mainly eight types of denim fabrics. These are:

  3. Denim from fox fiber.
  4. Crushed denim.
  5. Vintage denim.
  6. Ecru denim.
  7. Marble denim.
  8. Reverse denim.

Bangladeshi Denim is totally dependent on the Readymade garments (RMG) product. As a result, Bangladesh could not reach the valuable apparel market Viz: Vietnam, India, or Pakistan did. So, to meet up the growing demand for denim in the global market, denim factories in Bangladesh need to start acquiring the technology to produce high value-added and high-end denim apparel products.
